When is the Stride for CHAI 5K Fun Walk and where is it held?

The Stride for CHAI 5K Fun Walk will be on Saturday, March 24, 2007 in Mcinnish Park , Carrollton , TX . Click here for directions. Pledge Drop-Off and On-Site Registration opens at 9:00 a.m. A yoga warm-up begins at 9:30 am, and the Walk begins at 10:00 a.m.

How long is the Stride for CHAI Fun Walk?

The course through Mcinnish Park is 5 kilometers or 3.1 miles.

What is included in the registration fee?

The $20 registration fee for individuals and $40 registration fee for families helps to cover the costs of the events, including refreshments and Stride for CHAI t-shirts. On March 24, the onsite registration fee increases to $25 for individuals, and $50 for families

Do I have to raise pledges?

Raising pledges is optional for all CHAI walkers, but if you do decide to take this extra step, it will make a significant difference in the lives of many who are in desperate need of healthcare. Set a personal fundraising goal for yourself of $50, $100, $500, $1000 or more, and click here for our walker's kit, which will guide you in this process. Certificates and fun awards will be distributed to the top fundraisers. Please contact us if you have any questions or need some support.

Where does the pledge money go?

Your pledges will be directed to the JKP Barsana Dham Hospital Fund.

Where do I turn in pledge money(cash/check)?

Pledges may be mailed before & after the event, or turned in the day of the event at the registration desk. Be sure that your name, address and telephone number are included and keep a copy of the pledge form for your records. If mailed, send to:

Where do I get my t-shirt and gift bag?

Participants can pick up the event T-shirt at the registration desk before the start of the walk. The available sizes are small, medium, large and x-Large. T-Shirts can also be picked up before March 24. Check our pickup schedule and locations.

Will there be refreshments?

Complimentary snacks and beverages will be available to all registered participants upon completion of the event. Water will be provided throughout the event.

What if it rains on March 24th?

Provided there is no lightening, the Stride for CHAI 5K Walk will take place, rain or shine. We will advise you on the day of the Walk if the weather is questionable.

Can I bring young children to the Run/Walk? Do they have to pay the registration fee?

Yes, young children are welcome. We request families to pay for a family registration of $40, and let us know how many children you have so we may make adequate arrangements for refreshments after the walk. Special games and booths are organized just for the kids after the Walk.

Can I bring a stroller?

Yes, you can bring a stroller.
