About Us

Stride For C.H.A.I

In 2005, we started as a non-profit entity to raise funds and create awareness for healthcare projects in rural India.  Then, C.H.A.I. originally stood for “Creating Healthcare from America to India”.  However, today we have evolved and expanded our mission to Championing Humanitarian Projects from America to India that include education for rural women and providing for the well being of the poor and needy.

We are a charitable organization, affiliated to the JKP Foundation – a 501c non-profit entity that promotes and brings health, education and well being to the most impoverished areas and under-priveleged people of India.

The Dallas Chapter of C.H.A.I is a 100% volunteer based team of families, who dedicate their time to bring the DFW community together for C.H.A.I fund raising through various sport, cultural and recreational family events.

The JKP Foundation

JKP is a 501© non-profit international educational, charitable & spiritual organization that promotes health and well being of mankind.

Our First Event

Previous funds from event sponsorships has helped our Foundation construct and operate two fully charitable Hospitals in India and three educational institutions in rural India, thus bringing free medical treatment to the poor and quality education to girls and women which would otherwise have been inaccessible or unaffordable.

The inaugural Stride for CHAI walk was held in in 2005, which included a non-competitive 5K (3.1 mile) walk, followed by games and activities for youth. This event raised $30,000 which was directed to the construction of the JKC Hospital in Barsana, Mathura District, India.
